Transforming Livelihoods through Climate Resilient, Low Carbon, Sustainable Agricultural Value Chains in the Lake Region Economic Block.
One evidence chain, from forecast to farmer action.
Review climate evidence, approve county advisories, coordinate delivery and learn from feedback—within one governed workspace.
Quick actions
Climate products
Manage approved KMD, ECMWF and CHC/UCSB products with validity, confidence and source metadata intact.
KMD product and API readiness
Prepared for the eight agreed forecast-product families, all 14 LREB counties and controlled API, CSV, NetCDF, GeoTIFF, map and bulletin access.
14-county rainfall outlook
7-day county rainfall statistics are retrieved from the Kenya Farm-to-Forecast Pilot API. API boundary codes support forecast aggregation only; the portal retains its approved LREB geometry. Forecast evidence still requires technical review before use in an agricultural advisory.
NetCDF, CSV and CF validation
Validate structure, coordinates, variables, provenance and uncertainty before a dataset enters the governed catalogue. New source files are retained in the protected archive with a SHA-256 checksum. Invalid uploads are quarantined for correction; legacy metadata requires re-upload of the original file to restore its source archive.

Project data & GIS
Review approved programme maps, register governed layers and preserve protected beneficiary information.
GIS workspace
Explore approved layers together. Select a feature to inspect its attributes or use a polygon as a spatial query area.
Date filters use recorded validity or observation dates. Features without matching geographic, value-chain or date attributes are excluded.

County advisories
Turn approved climate, agriculture and market evidence into time-bound guidance in English and Kiswahili.
Advisories
Draft a bilingual advisory
Choose a county and its registered FFS value chain in the advisory register below. Each new agricultural draft contains six numbered tasks for that chain only. Review the forecast facts and tasks before approval. Market quotes use matching commodities from the same county. New text requires matching Kiswahili IVR recordings.
Radio & TV programmes
Prepare programmes, arrange station slots and record broadcast evidence.
Use your staff account. Station confirmation is required before a programme airs.
Governed dissemination
Plan county delivery from approved bilingual advisories using consent-aware audiences, a dated schedule and independent approval.
All-channel office dry run
Register consenting office testers and choose their channels. SMS supports sandbox or explicitly enabled paid live delivery. USSD uses the assigned simulator or live code shown below. WhatsApp uses the working business number. IVR has a portal rehearsal and an incoming-call route for an allocated Voice test number.
SMS and USSD show the FAO-TUNZA text heading. WhatsApp uses the programme image with replies that fit an image caption; longer replies remain complete text messages.
SMS na USSD huonyesha jina FAO-TUNZA kwa maandishi. WhatsApp hutumia picha ya mradi kwa majibu mafupi; majibu marefu hubaki maandishi kamili.

What each channel still needs
Check the steps below before the dry run. Provider evidence covers the last 24 hours. A callback or delivery receipt still needs the operator's content and handset check.
Register a tester or update their channels
Enter the same number to update an existing tester. The selected channels replace that number’s test permissions. A WhatsApp STOP remains in effect until the tester sends START.
SMS test — preview, then send
Each preview has a unique test reference. Match it on the handset for live SMS, or in the simulator for sandbox SMS, and in the results below. Accepted means the provider queued the request; it does not confirm delivery. A failed receipt needs investigation before another send.
Check the mode and Sender ID in the preview. Live SMS uses your paid wallet; sandbox SMS uses the simulator. Sender ID approval must be confirmed in Africa’s Talking. Each tester is limited to 20 SMS attempts per 24 hours.
Segment counts are estimates for the complete message. Long messages and Unicode characters can use several SMS segments.
No SMS test sent in this session.
WhatsApp command preview
Preview the registered tester's reply without sending a message or changing their language or STOP choice. For delivery testing, the tester sends a fresh command to the business number.
Preview the selected command. No message will be sent.
USSD and IVR rehearsal
Rehearse the same menus here. Rehearsal results are recorded separately from provider callbacks and phone delivery.
USSD: select a language, service and county. Use 98 for the next information page, 00 for the service menu and 0 to exit. IVR: use one digit at a time; an invalid selection repeats the prompt once. Browser speech is a rehearsal; verify the real call separately.
Start a rehearsal to see the menu.
Provider callback settings
Copy each private callback URL into the matching Africa’s Talking setting. Leave the existing Meta WhatsApp webhook configuration in place.
Dry-run results
The JSON snapshot contains masked testers, cumulative counters, recent channel events and readiness checks. It excludes callback tokens and full phone numbers.
Africa's Talking Sandbox test
Send one fixed verification message to a phone currently connected in the Africa's Talking simulator. The number is not stored and cannot be used to dispatch a campaign.
WhatsApp test desk
Register only consenting office testers. They message the business number first. Replies are labelled as tests; no farmer campaign is sent. Each registered number can receive up to 100 replies in a rolling 24-hour period.
Test commands: HELLO, 1 (weather), 2 (prices), 3 (feedback), F1/F2/F3, SW, EN, STOP and START. STOP produces no reply; START resumes replies.
Pending replies can be resumed after a restart. Failed or uncertain sends are not automatically retried; check the recipient's phone before asking them to send a new command.

Governed feedback & MEL
Connect de-identified farmer signals to approved advisories, track action and close documented follow-up without exposing beneficiary identity.
Channel feedback / Maoni ya njia
WhatsApp comments are linked to the advisory received. Pending comment text is visible only to authorised feedback managers for privacy review. Comments are excluded from CSV exports and numerical scores. Use non-identifying follow-up notes. Maoni ya WhatsApp huunganishwa na ushauri uliopokelewa; maelezo yanayotambulisha mtu yaondolewe kabla ya kuonyesha wahudumu wengine.
